Because the illustrations are AI-generated, some variation in details such as hairstyles, jewelry, clothing and character appearance between panels is normal and is expected outcome.
Wardrobe is also influenced by the original source image uploaded for the character. Once the book has been generated, that source image cannot be changed within the existing book. You can edit and regenerate individual panels, but each regeneration uses editing credits.
If your book is currently Paused, you do have the option to transfer your purchase to a new book and use a new source image for your character. Your prepaid printing and shipping will transfer to the new version, so you will not need to purchase the physical book again.
For the best character results, we recommend choosing a source image that:
Is clear, well-lit and in focus
Shows the person’s face clearly, preferably looking relatively straight toward the camera
Contains only that one person, rather than a group
Accurately represents their current hairstyle, hair colour and overall appearance
Shows the person at a reasonable size within the image
If you want the character’s clothing and overall appearance to be represented accurately from head to toe, we recommend using a clear full-body source photo showing the complete outfit you would like the character to wear. This gives the AI visual information about the entire wardrobe, including the top, bottoms, footwear and overall style, rather than requiring it to generate the parts of the outfit that aren't visible in the source image.
The AI will still reinterpret the person into the book’s illustration style and in different poses, angles and expressions, so some variation between panels is normal.
